Kayla Leach

Kayla enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults and their families. She takes a client-centered approach, emphasizing a collaborative relationship with the client and their families that are individualized to meet the client’s needs. Kayla values building a trusting therapeutic relationship with her clients. For Kayla, creating a safe environment for individuals and families is important in order to allow clients to openly express and explore themselves. She values her clients and their individual needs. 

 

Kayla is a trained Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and has previous experience working with individuals utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis. As an RBT, she provides support and assistance to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder to help them develop social and communication skills, improve daily living skills, and decrease aggressive and/or inappropriate behaviors. Kayla also has experience counseling a wide range of individuals with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, behavioral challenges, emotional concerns, attention difficulties, school challenges, and developmental delays. Some of her experience also includes individual and group therapy within an elementary school setting.

 

Kayla earned her Bachelor of Science in Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas. After graduating, Kayla went on to earn her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Christian University. She is passionate about her work as a counselor and looks forward to the possibility of supporting you and/or your family.
