Julie is a highly accomplished registered nurse with more than 20 years of progressive clinical and leadership experience spanning acute care, surgical services, hospice, home health, and care coordination. Her background includes serving as a charge nurse and preceptor on a Medicine Specialty Overflow Step-Down Unit at a Level I trauma center, as well as working as a surgical RN. Julie is recognized for strong clinical judgment, steadfast patient advocacy, and the ability to coordinate care within complex, high-acuity systems to achieve safe, efficient, and patient-centered outcomes.
Julie’s leadership experience includes roles such as Assistant Director of Nursing and Clinical Coordinator, where she led interdisciplinary teams, supported seamless transitions of care, ensured regulatory compliance, and advanced quality improvement initiatives. Her collaborative work with physicians, case management, social work, and ancillary services aligns with UPC’s care coordination model, emphasizing cross-disciplinary teamwork and seamless transitions that enhance patient experience and outcomes.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Julie is committed to strengthening her evidence-based practice and leadership in care coordination. She consistently translates clinical expertise into clear, actionable care plans, empowering patients and families to understand treatment options, medications, and self-care strategies. Julie brings a calm, organized, and solutions-focused approach, prioritizing clear communication, patient education, and continuity of care.
