University Park Counseling & Testing Center, PLLC provides supervised visitation in a structured, supportive environment designed to prioritize the child’s emotional and physical well-being while allowing for meaningful parent-child interaction.

Our Approach
Supervised visitations are conducted under the supervision of a non-licensed professional or an off-duty police officer trained to ensure the safety and well-being of all parties involved. The primary role of the supervising professional is to carefully observe and document the behaviors and interactions between the visiting parent, custodial parent or guardian, and the child(ren) during the visitation sessions. They have the authority to intervene when necessary, based on their judgment and discretion, to maintain a safe and appropriate visitation environment.
Supervised Visitation
Therapeutic supervised visitations are conducted by Licensed Professional Counselors or Licensed Professional Counselor - Associates under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor licensed by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council. The therapist overseeing the supervision will furnish detailed reports encompassing therapeutic interventions, implemented strategies during the visitation, and any therapeutic recommendations aimed at further aiding the family. It is crucial to recognize that therapeutic supervised visitations do not serve as a replacement for a forensic evaluation. Furthermore, no custody recommendations will be issued by the therapeutic supervisor. These comprehensive reports are frequently mandated by courts, attorneys, custody evaluators, or forensic interviewers to gain insights into the therapeutic progress and dynamics within the supervised visitation setting.

If you are considering UPC for a family requiring supervised visitation, our team can provide information about our services, availability, intake process, policies, and documentation procedures to help determine whether we are an appropriate fit for the case.
HOW TO GET STARTED

Obtain a court order or written agreement signed by all involved parties, designating University Park Counseling & Testing Center, PLLC (UPC) as the supervision provider.

Submit the following documents before services can commence:

A copy of the complete court order or written agreement, including specific directives on visit times, days, and listing 5728 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75240 as the approved location for visitation.

Include any relevant documents related to domestic violence, protective orders, evaluations, police reports, CPS findings, etc.

Complete, in its entirety, UPC intake packet from each adult party (visiting and custodial parents, and any other visiting adults), including:

Supervised/Therapeutic Supervised Visitation Intake Form completed by each party.

Signed Supervised/Therapeutic Supervised Visitation Guidelines from each party

Acknowledgement of Notice of Privacy Practices from each party

Color copy of identification of each party (driver's license, passport, State ID, etc.)

Color picture of each child involved in the services.

Submit intake fees and initial retainers in the form of a money order or cashiers check.

Once all required items are received from all parties, our office will schedule an intake appointment. This appointment, which is usually conducted via telehealth and lasts approximately 45-minutes, must be completed before the first visitation can be scheduled.

All necessary items must be received by our office a minimum of 5 business days preceding the visitation. Intakes must be completed before visitation scheduling can take place.
Please ensure timely submission of all required documentation and fees for a smooth initiation of supervised visitation services.
FEES FOR SUPERVISED VISITATION:
Visitation fees are collected in accordance with the court order. This could result in one party paying 100% of any associated fees or each party sharing the cost of the associated fees (50/50 or any other split outlined in the court order.)
Intake Fee: $250 per party
Retainer Fee: $500 per party
Administrative Fee: $37.50 per 15-minutes.
Visitation Fees:

Supervised Visitation: $150/hour, $20 each additional child

Therapeutic Supervised Visitation: $250/hour, $20 each additional child
Legal Consultation Fees:

Non-therapeutic: $75 per 15-minutes

Therapeutic: $150 per 15-minutes
Court Appearance or Deposition Fees:

Non-therapeutic: $1,500 for ½ day, $3,000 for full day

Therapeutic: $2,000 for ½ day, $4,000 for for full day
